Association Fall Meeting
The Associational Fall Meeting will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, October 5th at West Union Baptist Church located at 560 West Union Road, Carriere, MS 39426. Guest Speaker will be Dr. Daniel P. Caldwell, Vice President of Church Relations, and Associate Professor of Religion at William Carey University, Hattiesburg.
Each church is entitled to four messengers for the first 50 members and one additional messenger for each 50 members. Example: A church having 125 members is eligible for four (the first 50 members) + two (1 for the additional 50 members and one for the 25 members) = six messengers. You can also bring members as guest that would not be eligible to vote in the business session. Please enlist your full slate of messengers and more to experience the Mission reports and great worship service.
Fall Adult Fishing Day
Fishing Day is scheduled for Thursday, October 15th beginning at 6:30 a.m. and will go until noon at the Association Lakes. Come early and stake out your favorite spot - enjoy a biscuit/sausage/coffee – lake side. We will be giving out prizes for the largest, smallest, and the most fish caught. Bring a sack lunch, the Association will provide the drinks.

Red Ribbon Week in School Systems
October 27 - 30, 2015
Jason Gibbons, former Globe Trotter, also known as “White Shadow 55” will be in our area School Systems Tuesday, October 27th through Friday, October 30th for Red Ribbon Week. In addition to Jason’s skills on the court, he is versed in motivational speaking, which he uses with his trick shots, slam dunks, and crowd interaction to set the table for an incredibly powerful message of hope and inspiration to young people of all ages. He will be at Hancock on Tuesday, Poplarville on Wednesday, Pearl River Central on Thursday, and Picayune on Friday. On Wednesday night Jason will be at Pearl River Community College’s New Gymnasium.
2016 Bible Drills and Student/Youth Speaker Tournament
Churches are encouraged to seek out leaders to begin planning for the 2016 Bible Drills and Speaker Tournament. Materials are available from the MS Baptist Discipleship Training Department at no charge. Associational Drills will take place at Central Baptist Church on April 10, 2016. Children's Bible Drills are for Grades 4-6 and Student/Youth for Grades 7-12. Bible Buddies is an introductory program for younger children Grades 1-3. The purpose of Bible Drills is to help young people increase their knowledge of God's Word through scripture memorization, develop skills in using their Bible, and apply the Bible to their lives. The Association Student/Youth Speaker Tournament will be held on March 18, 2016 at the Associational Office for youth in Grades 10-12. RA’s Father & Son Fishing Rodeo
There were 14 present and 2 churches represented at this year’s RA Father & Son Fishing Rodeo which was held on Saturday, August 8th.

3rd Annual Ella’s Light Children’s Ministry Fun Day
Saturday, September 19, 2015; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Jack Reed Park on the Boulevard in Picayune, MS. Food, entertainment, fun jumpers, raffle, silent auction, face painting and much more.
